SPECIALIZED LOGGING & CUTTING

The right crew.
The right scope.

Contract logging, contract cutting and hand felling for the teams building what comes next.

We support civil contractors, developers and infrastructure project teams with a range of cutting services, coordinated around site conditions and tight project timelines.

OUR SERVICES

Focused on the work
your site needs.

One service or a coordinated combination. We help define the cutting approach so your team can plan the work that follows.

01 / CONTRACT LOGGING

Logging for the
next phase.

Discuss a logging project

Timber work aligned with your development plans.

East Logging provides contract logging for development and infrastructure projects where standing timber needs to be addressed before construction can advance. We work with your team to establish the work limits, review timber and access conditions, and coordinate the logging scope with the project schedule.

From a defined work area to a larger development footprint, our role is to help your team move into the next phase with clear responsibilities and an agreed approach to the timber work.

PROJECT APPLICATIONS

Solar developments, data center sites, commercial and industrial development, and infrastructure work areas.

02 / CONTRACT CUTTING

A dedicated crew
for the cutting scope.

Discuss contract cutting

Tree felling that fits your construction sequence.

Contract cutting focuses on felling trees within defined project boundaries. Where terrain and access allow, mechanical cutting supports the tree-cutting phase while your project team coordinates the work that follows.

A cutting-only scope is useful when timber handling or other site activities are managed separately. We coordinate boundaries, access, cutting windows and handoffs so the cutting work fits into the wider construction plan.

PROJECT APPLICATIONS

Development footprints, transmission and midstream work areas, and phased infrastructure or civil construction projects.

03 / HAND FELLING

Specialized cutting
where access is limited.

Discuss hand felling

A practical approach for areas that call for hand cutting.

Our hand-felling service uses chainsaw cutting for areas where machine access is limited or project requirements call for a different approach. We review the terrain, work limits, surrounding conditions and site requirements to determine how hand cutting fits the scope.

Hand felling can stand alone or complement mechanical cutting within the same project. That flexibility helps your team address different conditions across a site without treating every area the same way.

PROJECT APPLICATIONS

Restricted-access areas, terrain unsuitable for mechanical access, and designated hand-cutting zones within larger development or infrastructure sites.

A clear scope from the start. We establish cutting limits, timber-handling responsibilities and the handoff to your next phase in the proposal. Additional work is discussed and agreed before it is included.

04 / LOW-IMPACT SITE ACCESS

Open the access.
Keep the footprint focused.

Forestry mulching can open routes and work areas for survey crews, soil testing and other early project activities without clearing the entire development footprint.

For sites with wet areas or ground-disturbance restrictions, we review vegetation, access and soil conditions to define an appropriate equipment approach and scope. Our Hurst Landworks environmental team brings experience with targeted access and forestry mulching.

BUILT AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE

Tight timelines.
Coordinated field work.

We can deliver logging and cutting services on tight timelines. Tell us your required completion date, site access and upcoming construction milestones so we can align the scope and crew schedule with your project.

Whether you need one specialized service or a combination of logging, mechanical cutting and hand felling, we work with your team to establish priorities and keep the cutting phase moving.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Plan the cutting phase.

What is the difference between logging and cutting only?

A logging scope addresses the agreed timber work and handling responsibilities. A cutting-only scope focuses on felling trees, with subsequent handling coordinated separately. We establish that distinction in your proposal.

Can you combine mechanical cutting and hand felling?

Yes. Different areas of a site may call for different approaches. We can discuss a combined scope based on machine access, terrain, work boundaries and project requirements.

Can you work within a tight cutting window?

We support projects with tight timelines. Share the required cutting window, site readiness and target completion date so we can confirm availability and establish a workable schedule for your scope.

What do you need to prepare project pricing?

Send the project city and state, service needed, approximate work area and schedule. Plans, photos, access information and any project-specific restrictions help us understand the work and prepare an appropriate proposal.

Do you serve my project location?

Send your project location so we can confirm availability. You can also view our service-area map before getting in touch.
